Chocolaty Oreo Cheesecake
OMG! This decadent Chocolaty Oreo Cheesecake is the bomb diggity! Your chocolate cravings will leave you asking for another piece of cake.
If you want make the swirls around the top edge of the cake (save some cheesecake filling), use a Wilton #1M decorating tip with a piping bag. In the picture, the author slightly bent the tip in to make it a littler closer. Oreo chunks will get stuck in the tip when piping. may have to empty bag & crumble the cookies; otherwise, use some plain whipped cream.
One individual made the recipe exactly. The cheesecake filling was grey-colored with crushed Oreos. The cream whipped stiffly; however, wasn’t stiff enough to hold between the layers. It started melting within 5 minutes, so they decided to make a trifle out of it instead. Tasted great!
Another individual said if you really are having a hard time with the filling, just put it in a 9-inch spring-form pan lined with parchment paper & place in freezer x 45 minutes – 1 hour. Place between baked layers & smooth around the edges pushing filling in.
